IB Workshops

IB Courses are hosted at Rangitoto College.
564 E Coast Rd, Mairangi Bay, Auckland 0630.

All workshops are located in the B Block and classes will be held in rooms B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 B6 which are downstairs and B11 and B12 which are on the upper level. There is a drop-off and pick up area in the lower car park off Grahame Collins Drive. 

Is a workshop the same as a revision course?

Yes! They are the same thing! Just renamed to make it easier to say.

 

How many students in there be in a Workshop?

There is a maximum of three students in online workshops, and nine in on-campus workshops (IB only). 

 

What will be taught in a workshop? 

Our tutors will be aiming to cover a full course revision in both our July and October workshops.

 

I booked two workshops on the same day, can I swap to another one?

Sure thing! Sometimes this happens, simply email us with which workshop you want to swap from and then too and well manually do this for you.

 

When do you start selling seats for your workshops?

We'll release our workshop sessions in early June for our July courses and in August for our September/October courses. We'll post our session times on our website as well as on Facebook.

 

I don't know where my Workshop is located?

Once you are logged in as a student, you can click on upcoming Tutorials/Workshops. This will then provide you with all of the details about your upcoming sessions, including the location. All of our on-campus IB courses are hosted at Rangitoto College. For our online workshops, you will be provided with a link which you can use to login to the online classroom. 

I missed out on a workshop that I really wanted to attend and now it's sold out, is there anything I can do about this?

In some instances, it might be viable for us to offer an additional workshop, or add you to a class that might already be sold out. Let us know as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

 

I topped up my account to book a workshop for my friend and I, but it's only letting me book one seat?

Each student attending a workshop must have their own CampusLink account, so you can only book one seat in any one session. If you have already loaded your account with the amount needed to pay for two students, let us know and we will happily transfer the credit from your account to your friends once they have created their own account. 

 

I'm unwell and can't make my workshop - what do I do?

If you find yourself unable to make it to your workshop, please let us know as soon as possible. 

Notifying us of a cancellation within 48 hours of the start of the workshop will warrant you a full refund. Notifying us of a workshop within 24 hours of the start of the workshops will warrant you a 50% refund. No-shows on the day of the workshop will receive no refund.

Technical

What technology do I need for these sessions to work?

In order to get the best experience from your tutorial, you will need the following:

- either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser - we do not support Internet Explorer, Safari or Opera
- a web camera
- a microphone - a set of headphones/earbuds with a built in microphone (the type that come with most smartphones) will also work
- a good Internet connection - you can test your internet speed here: http://speedtest.googlefiber.net/

General

I've booked in 2016 or prior, but I can't login?

In 2017 CampusLink upgraded its website, and unfortunately, your old account details were not pre-loaded. You will need to create a new account. You can do this at https://campuslink.org/signup

 

I wasn't happy with my tutorial, what can I do?

If something happened in your tutorial that you were not happy with, let one of the CampusLink team members know within a 24 hour period so we can rectify the situation. You can reach us at hello@campuslink.org.

 

I don't have a Paypal account, how do I top up my CampusLink account?

Good news! You don't need a Paypal account to use our site. When you go to book, you'll be directed through to a Paypal site. If you don't have a PayPal login, click the grey "Pay with Credit Card" button and you can top up using a credit card or your MasterCard/Visa debit card.

 

I booked a workshop/tutorial but I haven't received any confirmation emails.

If you haven't received any confirmation emails, first check that you are using the correct email address. If you have created an account for your child or your parents have created an account for you, try checking their email accounts, as the information may have gone there.

What is the cut off time to book prior to a session?

You can book sessions with our tutors no later than 12 hours in advance.
